Several insurance firms have announced key leadership appointments and promotions across the UK market.

Prestige Underwriting pricing director

Prestige Underwriting has promoted Carl McComb (pictured above, left) to underwriting and pricing director, expanding his remit to include the development and implementation of the firm’s underwriting strategy across the UK and Ireland.

In the role, McComb will oversee strategic guidelines for risk assessment and pricing, and lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for building, validating, and refining pricing models to support sustainable profitability.

Reporting directly to the managing director, McComb’s responsibilities include integrating pricing, underwriting, and analytics to manage risk and align with business objectives. He will be tasked with making evidence-based decisions on the viability of new and enhanced products, monitoring market trends, and shaping distribution-ready rating frameworks.

McComb will also work closely with operations, claims, and distribution teams to strengthen execution and broker outcomes. The combination of underwriting and pricing functions under his leadership is intended to build on recent improvements and enhancements within the business.

New Dawn Risk management liability senior broker

New Dawn Risk, a specialist Lloyd’s broker, has appointed George Brooke (pictured above, right) as senior broker within its management liability & financial institutions team.

Brooke brings experience from both independent and London market brokers and has worked with clients across the US, Australia, Asia, Latin America, and Europe. He will play a role in expanding New Dawn Risk’s global Management Liability & Financial Institutions portfolio.

Brooke joins from Price Forbes, where he served as Director in the Management Liability team, and previously held the position of Assistant Vice President, FINPRO, at Marsh JLT Specialty. Based in London, Brooke will report to Jack Keilty, Head of Management Liability & Financial Institutions.

His appointment follows the recent addition of Anthony Kerr as senior client manager and claims advocate.

HHIB associate director

H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) has promoted Natalie Carr (pictured immediately above) to associate director. Carr, who has nearly three decades of industry experience, leads the firm’s Wigton office and manages a portfolio of agricultural and farm clients across North and West Cumbria. She also specialises in agriculture, forestry, and tree surgery.

Carr began her insurance career in 1987 as an office junior and developed her interest in the farming sector after meeting her husband. She is based at the Wigton office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, spending the remainder of her time visiting farms and rural businesses to discuss renewals and new opportunities.

The Wigton office team also includes claims team leader Victoria Twentyman and broker Chloe Brough, who are present on key sale dates. HHIB operates throughout the North of England and the south of Scotland, arranging insurance in sectors such as agriculture, commercial, tourism, hospitality, and property, with offices in Carlisle, Wigton, Durham, Hexham, Kirkby Stephen, Newton St Boswells, and Northallerton.
