There have been several moves announced across the UK insurance sector in the last 24hrs.
The LMA’s newly appointed board members are Nick Moore, CEO of Argenta (pictured top, left), and Vinay Mistry, chief commercial operations officer of Apollo (pictured top, right).
“I am pleased to welcome Nick and Vinay to the LMA Board. Their experience and perspectives will be invaluable as we continue to represent and support our members and the wider Lloyd’s market. I would also like to thank Alex and Andrew for their significant contributions during their tenure,” said Sheila Cameron, CEO of LMA.
Alex Powell, CEO of AEGIS London, and Andrew Brooks, non-executive director of Ascot Group, stepped down from the LMA Board at the end of their terms.
“Nick and Vinay bring a wealth of experience from across the market,” said Sean McGovern, CEO, UK & Lloyd’s and chair of the LMA. “I look forward to working with them as the board continues to guide the LMA’s priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes for its members.”
The board sets the association’s overall strategy, direction and priorities, and is made up of senior market practitioners and LMA leaders.
Apollo, a Skyward Group Company, said Mistry has been involved in LMA committee work since joining Apollo in 2019. In addition to his role as Apollo’s chief commercial operations officer, he has served on several LMA committees, including as chair of the CRO Committee and as a founding member of the Sustainability Committee.
“I am truly honoured and excited to join the LMA board. Having long been committed to supporting the market’s progress, I look forward to contributing further to its development and working collaboratively with the Board to drive meaningful change,” said Mistry.
