Two UK firms have announced senior appointments as they expand technology-driven offerings in the insurance market.

Augmented UW appoints new head of underwriting

Augmented UW Ltd., a tech-powered MGA serving the smart-follow insurance sector, has appointed Luke Overall (pictured, left) as head of underwriting.

Overall brings over 15 years of experience across MGA and carrier environments, including senior roles at Atrium, Beazley, and CFC. His expertise spans property, terrorism, cyber, and liability, focusing on binder-driven portfolios and strategic underwriting partnerships.

He will lead Augmented’s underwriting team, shaping the MGA’s technology-enhanced strategy and supporting brokers in building data-led panels that match capacity to risk.

CEO Daniel Prince said Overall's "blend of technical underwriting expertise and deep market understanding" will be key as the MGA scales across new lines and digital infrastructure. Augmented launched in July 2025, initially targeting property and terrorism, with further expansion planned in 2026.

Send names new CTO to drive platform growth

Send Technology Solutions has appointed Daniel Pass (pictured, right) as chief technology officer to enhance the functionality and scalability of its insurance platform.

Pass previously served as CTO at challenger bank Perenna and held senior technical roles at Betfred, overseeing large-scale systems architecture and platform development.

In his new role, Pass will lead Send’s technology strategy, guiding the platform’s next generation and supporting international growth ambitions. Co-founder and CEO Andy Moss said the appointment ensures the company has the “vision and expertise to scale our offering as we grow.”
