Recent announcements from Clearway Group and Zurich UK indicate ongoing changes in leadership and strategic direction within the UK and European insurance and security markets.
Clearway Group has confirmed Phil Doyle as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Peter Eglinton, who led the company through a period of expansion and transformation over the past two years.
Doyle, with more than 20 years of experience in the security and safety sector, including senior roles at Bosch Security Systems and AXIS Communications, will focus on driving Clearway’s growth across core European markets.
The company has recently extended its operations into Germany and Austria, in addition to ongoing developments in the UK and France. This expansion has broadened Clearway’s customer base and security solution offerings across the continent.
Zurich UK has appointed Georgina Davis (pictured above) as head of regional market for the Midlands, South West and Wales. Since joining Zurich in 2023 as head of broker proposition and distribution, Davis has been responsible for shaping regional distribution strategies.
Reporting to Morgan Lyons, head of retail commercial, Davis will oversee regional operations and broker engagement efforts aimed at driving growth. Her prior experience includes broker-facing roles at British Engineering Services, with a focus on the Midlands market.
Lyons noted Davis’s leadership and relationships as key assets for Zurich’s regional ambitions. Davis said the role represents a return to her roots and an opportunity to support brokers and clients in key UK regions.
