Cushway, who has been with Aspen since 2017, most recently led the UK casualty portfolio. He will now manage both UK and international casualty lines, including the international environmental team led by Richard Spinks. Leanne Bellows has been appointed head of excess casualty – London & Lloyd’s Markets and will report to Cushway.
Dan Osman, active underwriter Syndicate 4711 and CUO of Aspen Insurance UK, described the new structure as a step toward aligning leadership with client needs and long-term business objectives.
HDI Global has named Nils Langrehr (pictured above, right) as head of power underwriting within its cross-division energy & power unit.
Langrehr, who spent nearly 14 years at Hannover Re, brings extensive experience in both traditional and renewable energy insurance, including work with London Market and US brokers.
In his new role, Langrehr will oversee underwriting for both renewable and conventional power risks. The appointment forms part of HDI Global’s broader strategy to support clients through the energy transition with integrated risk solutions.
