Several firms across the insurance and specialty markets have made leadership appointments, with Aon, Bridgehaven Europe Specialty, and Brace Underwriting each reshaping their senior teams to support growth plans across the UK, Europe, and the US.

Aon names Adam Reed as CCO for major UK clients

Aon plc has appointed Adam Reed (pictured above, left) as chief commercial officer of major, complex, and enterprise clients for Commercial Risk in the UK, effective September 2026. Reed will be based in London and report to Rob Kemp, CEO of Commercial Risk in the UK.

Reed joins from Howden, where he served as managing director of large and complex risks. He previously held senior roles at both Marsh and Willis Towers Watson, leading major account relationships at each firm.

In his new position, Reed will focus on growth with FTSE 350 and private businesses, working alongside chief commercial officer Amy Froude and industry sectors leader Dave Kennedy.

The appointment follows recent UK leadership changes at Aon, including Michelle Beverley as chief broking officer, Lucy Gleeson as head of product and facility, and Chris Scott as head of UK global risk consulting.

Bridgehaven appoints Fiona Marry as European CEO

Bridgehaven Europe Specialty DAC has named Fiona Marry (pictured above, right) as European CEO, leading its expansion from Dublin.

Marry has 35 years of industry experience, most recently as chief executive at USAA EU DAC and previously as CEO and chief underwriting officer at Hamilton Insurance DAC.

Her appointment supports Bridgehaven's plans to grow its network of MGA partners across the EU. The Dublin-based firm said it will deliver its business model across Europe through existing capabilities and additional specialty risk classes.

Brace Underwriting promotes Wheeler and Davis under new regional structure

Brace Underwriting, a multi-line and alternative risk specialist backed by Octave Specialty Group, has promoted Richard Wheeler to head of underwriting for the US and Michael Davis to head of Brace London underwriting. Both previously held senior underwriter positions at the firm.

The promotions form part of a new regional management structure, with Wheeler and Davis joining Martin McBrearty, head of Brace UK and Europe, as three regional underwriting heads reporting to chief underwriting officer Tom Sambrook.

Glenn Dorr continues as Brace USA president and head of marketing, working alongside Wheeler to develop the US portfolio from the Boston region.

The structure took effect on April 1, 2026, following Sambrook's transition to group CUO in April 2025 and Küller's move to group CEO in February of this year.
