Allianz UK and AutoRek have announced appointments aimed at bolstering their respective positions in the insurance market, signalling continued investment in leadership and innovation across the sector.

Allianz reinforces broker focus

Allianz UK has named Vicky Yuill (pictured) as distribution director for Allianz Personal Broker, a role she will assume in December 2025.

Reporting to the managing director, Yuill brings more than two decades of experience in insurance, having most recently served as head of insurance at Sainsbury's Bank, where she oversaw product lines spanning car, home, pet, life and travel. Her earlier career includes leadership positions at Ageas and Kwik Fit Insurance Services, managing insurer partnerships within the home and motor markets.

Her arrival follows the appointment of Glyn Hughes as managing director of Allianz Personal Broker, who will take up his post in February 2026. Together, the appointments mark a clear signal of Allianz’s focus on strengthening its broker business and deepening ties within the personal lines market.

AutoRek expands global insurance presence

AutoRek, a global provider of automated reconciliation and financial control solutions, has announced two senior hires to advance its insurance sector expansion.

Tony Shek joins as global sales lead, bringing more than 10 years of experience across Aviva, AIG, Generali, MetLife, and HSBC, alongside digital transformation expertise from his most recent role at CyberSmart.

Supporting him is Meghana Nile, who joins AutoRek’s presales team after serving as a business architect at Allianz Insurance. She brings over 15 years of experience designing strategic, technology-led solutions for insurers.

The dual appointments come as AutoRek accelerates its focus on digital transformation within the insurance market, leveraging its growing client base and AI-driven reconciliation platform. The company recently launched AutoRek ARIA, integrating AI to boost operational efficiency and streamline data management.
