HSB UK & Ireland names Andrew Burke as new CEO.
HSB UK & Ireland has appointed Andrew Burke as its new chief executive officer, subject to regulatory approval.
The specialist engineering insurance and inspection services provider confirmed Burke will succeed Stephen Worrall, who left the business earlier this year.
Burke brings more than three decades of experience in the financial services and insurance sectors. He previously led DAS UK Group as CEO, where he focused on strengthening the company’s strategic partnerships.
Prior to that, he spent 13 years with RSA Insurance Group in a series of senior international roles, including CEO of Central & Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and CEO of Emerging Markets.
In his new role, Burke will oversee HSB UK & Ireland’s insurance, inspection and building warranty operations.
Commenting on his appointment, Burke said: “As a specialist insurer, HSB is uniquely placed to capitalise on the significant opportunities that exist by providing value-added expertise and knowledge to support our customers. I’ve been immediately struck by the passion HSB’s employees have for our business and their commitment to building on our success.”
Burke also said looks forward to working with HSB’s team and partners to “shape the next chapter” of the organisation’s growth.
