Another major insurance company has turned to artificial intelligence. Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) has launched a new generative AI-driven solution aimed at enhancing the management and consistency of multinational insurance programs, as part of its 2025–2027 strategic plan.

The solution, named GlobalTracer, is designed to strengthen alignment between global program terms and local policies across multinational insurance structures.

According to the company, multinational programs require close coordination between producing and fronting offices in multiple jurisdictions to ensure consistency in coverage terms and conditions. Even minor discrepancies between master agreements and locally issued policies can introduce operational complexity and affect clarity for clients.

GlobalTracer leverages generative artificial intelligence to streamline policy review processes, helping to identify discrepancies, coverage gaps and inconsistencies more quickly and accurately.

The tool is designed to verify terms and conditions - including natural catastrophe coverage - analyse large volumes of documentation, and improve transparency across the program lifecycle. By automating key control steps, the solution aims to improve operational efficiency while freeing up specialist resources for higher-value advisory work.

The initiative aligns with GC&C’s “Next Level Plan” for 2025–2027, which identifies client-centric growth in the Multinational and Captive segment as a strategic priority. Multinational Business and Captive currently account for nearly 30% of GC&C’s gross written premiums and operate across a network spanning more than 180 countries.

The business forms part of Generali’s Global Business Activities division and provides structured property, casualty and specialty insurance solutions to medium-to-large corporate clients worldwide.

The launch underscores the growing role of artificial intelligence in supporting underwriting oversight and multinational program governance within the commercial insurance sector.
