Consilium has announced the appointments of Michael Harte (pictured above, left) and Olivia Taylor (pictured above, right) as associates in its professional and executive risk solutions division.
Harte joins Consilium as associate partner, bringing over 11 years of experience in financial and professional risks. He previously held the position of FINPRO account manager at Jensten Insurance Brokers and has also worked at Howden and Tysers.
Harte’s background spans both retail and wholesale markets, and he has worked with a diverse range of clients. He stated that he values the opportunity to join a fast-growing team and aims to contribute to building the global book of business while maintaining established client relationships.
Taylor has been appointed as associate, relocating to the UK from Australia. She brings more than four years of broking experience from her time at Praden Pty Limited in Sydney, specialising in financial lines.
In her new role, Taylor will expand her expertise from retail to wholesale markets. She noted that Consilium’s independent status and the chance to develop her skills within a London market team were key factors in her decision to join.
Taylor also emphasised the importance of face-to-face engagement and highlighted Consilium’s responsiveness, underwriter relationships, and tailored wordings as distinguishing features in a soft market.
Neal Hughes, managing partner for professional & executive risk solutions at Consilium, commented on the appointments, saying, “We’re thrilled to welcome two talented young brokers to our team. Both are hungry to make a mark and play their part in helping us redefine what excellence really looks like in the world of risk solutions.”
The division has seen further expansion with the appointment of Ethan Godlieb as associate partner to lead cyber, tech, and fintech within professional and executive risk solutions.
Godlieb, who joined from Aon, brings eight years of experience in commercial broking focused on cyber and data risks for both mid-sized and multinational clients. His remit includes broadening Consilium’s cyber portfolio across classes and geographies, in line with the firm’s strategy to address emerging risks and refine coverage gaps in the sector.
Consilium has also strengthened its delegated risk solutions division with the appointment of George Besant as partner. Besant, who previously served as head of capacity at Superscript, brings 13 years of experience in capacity placement and MGA portfolio development.
