Ardonagh Europe has announced the formation of Orvia Underwriting, a pan-European managing general agent (MGA) headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

The new entity will consolidate several Ardonagh-owned MGAs across London and European markets into a single platform, with a combined portfolio exceeding €250 million in gross written premium. Orvia will focus on developing specialist insurance products and aims to establish centres of excellence for underwriting across the region.

Cooper Gay Germany's trade credit and cyber specialist business will be the first to transition to the Orvia brand. Additional MGAs in London and other European markets are expected to join the platform throughout 2026.

According to Ardonagh, Orvia will offer brokers and clients access to underwriting expertise with faster decision-making and consistent service. The business is also in the process of finalising long-term capacity partnerships intended to support product development and growth.

The brand name draws from the Celtic word "Ór," meaning gold, and the Latin "Via," meaning path.

Conor Geraghty, who has been named CEO of Orvia Underwriting, said the platform is built on a belief that strong underwriting results from the combination of talent, capacity partnerships, and investment. He added that consolidating existing MGAs would create broader capabilities and open new avenues for expansion.

The launch of Orvia follows a period of brand consolidation across the wider Ardonagh Group. In November 2025, Ardonagh Advisory rebranded as Everywhen, unifying more than 35 UK broking and insurance advisory businesses under a single identity.

Everywhen employs over 4,500 people and places upwards of £5 billion in premium annually.
