Specialist re/insurance broker Miller has appointed Paul Jenkins (pictured above) as part of its expansion plans for its North American property business. Jenkins, who is based in London, started in the role this month.

Jenkins brings experience spanning both underwriting and broking across the Lloyd's and London markets. He joins Miller from Westfield Specialty International, where he served as an underwriting consultant from March 2025 to January 2026. Prior to Westfield, he held a brief position as Vice President and Senior Underwriter at Velocity Risk in early 2025.

He spent nearly two years at BMS Group as Director of North American Direct and Facultative business, from April 2023 to January 2025. Jenkins also held leadership positions at Lockton Companies, serving as Head of North American Property and Senior Vice President from February 2020 to March 2023.

Earlier in his career, Jenkins worked at Aon as Senior Underwriter and Team Leader from February 2019 to September 2019. He spent over 11 years at Travelers, rising from Assistant Underwriter to Head of Open Market Property between October 2007 and February 2019.

His career in the London market began at Wellington Insurance Group, where he worked as an Underwriting Assistant and Catastrophe Modeler from October 2001 to September 2005. He then moved to Gerling at Lloyd's as a Binding Authority Assistant Underwriter from September 2005 to October 2007.

Jenkins' appointment is part of a broader pattern of regional expansion at Miller. In December, the broker named Andreas Ehrencrona as head of facultative reinsurance for the Nordic region, based in Stockholm.

Ehrencrona joined from Guy Carpenter, where he served as senior vice president and head of facultative for the Nordic and Baltic operation for more than 10 years. The role was created following Miller's acquisition of AHJ Holdings, which expanded the broker's treaty reinsurance capabilities in the Nordic, Caribbean and North American markets.
