Gallagher Re has appointed Audrey Cimignani (pictured above) as reinsurance broker and contract and regulatory specialist for the France-Belux region. She is based in Paris and started in the role in January 2026.
In her new position, Cimignani serves as an interface between insurers, reinsurers and internal teams. Her responsibilities include structuring reinsurance treaties and managing risks across France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Cimignani's appointment follows a broader reorganization of Gallagher Re's France, Belgium and Luxembourg operations in 2025.
The reinsurance broker added nine professionals to its broking and analytics teams earlier that year, including Mathieu Loisel, Julie Gigleux, Julien Mattei, Zouhir Driouache, Oscar Allitt, Thomas Meerman, Quentin Emery and Arnaud Boulard. The Brussels office also welcomed Nicolas Daxhelet in April under Belgium Branch Head Philippe de Longueville.
Cimignani joins Gallagher Re from Swiss Re, where she spent nearly three years in legal roles. She served as Regional Legal Counsel from February 2024 to January 2026, advising business units in property and casualty as well as life and health reinsurance. In that role, she provided legal support for structured transactions and regulatory matters.
Prior to that, she held the position of senior reinsurance contracts counsel at Swiss Re from May 2023 to April 2024. Before joining Swiss Re, Cimignani worked as legal counsel at AXA for nearly four years, from September 2019 to May 2023.
She also served as deputy counsel at the International Chamber of Commerce from April 2014 to April 2017, where she focused on international commercial arbitration. Her earlier career included legal trainee positions at WilmerHale in London and Gide Loyrette Nouel in Paris, both in international arbitration departments.
Cimignani holds a Master's degree in Management of Insurance from Enass, completed in 2020. She also earned an LL.M. in International Business Law with a concentration in International Commercial Arbitration from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
She completed her Master 2 in International Business Law at Paris-Sud University and holds a Master 1 in Business Law from Paris-Pantheon-Assas University.
