The Fidelis Partnership and its managing general agent platform, Pine Walk, have opened a new office at Grace Hall in London, marking the reopening of a historic City building and underscoring the group’s continued expansion in the specialty insurance market.
The new hub is located at Grace Hall on the north side of Leadenhall Street, a Grade II listed site that first served as the London headquarters of New York family-owned banking firm Grace & Co. beginning in 1927. The building is reopening this week and will now serve as a base designed to strengthen broker-underwriter engagement in the London Market.
The launch comes as The Fidelis Partnership continues to emphasize what it described as the value of relationships and person-to-person underwriting. Central to the new site is Grace Hall’s Banking Hall, which will now operate as a Broker Lounge for brokers and underwriters from both The Fidelis Partnership and Pine Walk. According to the company, the space is intended to support confidential discussions while also creating a more open environment for networking and collaboration among market participants.
The move also reflects Pine Walk’s ongoing growth and increasing role within the wider Fidelis platform. Employees of Pine Walk will relocate from the company’s existing Lime Street office, while Navium will occupy the first floor of the new building and the remaining areas will be shared by other Pine Walk MGAs. Founded in 2017, Pine Walk currently has 16 MGAs under management, with another launch recently announced. In 2025, the platform launched five new MGAs and increased gross written premium to $1.0 billion from $0.9 billion in 2024.
Michael Davern, UK chief underwriting officer and group head of direct and facultative property and energy at The Fidelis Partnership, said the opening represents another important step for both businesses. “Opening this office at the historic Grace Hall is another milestone moment in the outstanding growth of both TFP and the Pine Walk platform,” Davern said. “We’re incredibly excited to welcome our broking partners to the Banking Hall at Grace Hall; in renovating Grace Hall we are bringing back a storied City location while creating a space that embodies our groupwide focus on cultivating collaboration.”
Davern added that the company sees cross-selling across business lines and developing tailored specialty solutions as key strategic priorities. “We also believe strongly in the unparalleled value of person-to-person underwriting and negotiating,” he said. “At Grace Hall’s Broker Lounge, this collaboration will take centre stage as we continue to solve critical and complex market needs with nimble and creative underwriting solutions which we can allocate to our capacity partners and consortia.”
The Fidelis Partnership describes itself as a high-growth, independent global specialty risk allocator operating through Fidelis Underwriting and Pine Walk across specialty, bespoke and reinsurance lines. The company is separately owned and managed from Fidelis Insurance Group, which announced in February that it expects to rebrand as Pelagos Insurance Capital Limited.
