The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) has announced several senior promotions within its Bermuda Treaty team as part of its ongoing expansion in the reinsurance sector.
Paget Hengesbaugh (pictured above, left) has been named head of international treaty. Hengesbaugh, who joined TFP five years ago from Renaissance Re, will now oversee the company’s international treaty operations.
Drew Tomlinson (pictured above, right), who has been with TFP since 2023 and previously held positions at OdysseyRe and Penn National Insurance, has been appointed head of US treaty.
Will Abbott is set to become head of complex risks and specialty treaty. Abbott brings experience from prior roles at Howden Re, Guy Carpenter, and Willis Re. Jack Jarvis, who joined TFP in 2024 from Canopius, will serve as head of global clients.
All four will report to Richard Coulson, deputy group chief underwriting officer, and work closely with group CEO and chairman Richard Brindle.
TFP is also making additional changes to its Bermuda management structure. Mark Herget, with more than six years at the company, will be promoted to deputy group head of property, energy, and construction. Herget will join TFP’s group executive committee and take on broader management responsibilities.
Danny Mereu is set to transfer from London to Bermuda, starting Jan. 1, 2026, as group head of property underwriting analytics and pricing. In addition, Dennis Brauchle recently joined TFP as head of property treaty and portfolio analytics. Brauchle was previously deputy chief risk officer and head of P&C actuarial at Hannover Re Bermuda.
Michael Davern, UK chief underwriting officer and group head of D&F property and energy at TFP, said the promotions highlight the company’s internal talent and the momentum of its Bermuda Treaty and D&F underwriting and analytics teams.
“The growth and development of our Bermuda Treaty portfolio reflects the success of our risk allocator model as we continue to dynamically align capital and risk,” Davern said.
TFP has reported significant growth in its business, with gross written premium reaching US$4.6 billion for 2024, a 29% increase from the previous year.
This growth was supported by the launch of Syndicate 3123 and the expansion of the Pine Walk managing general agent platform, which added three new underwriting entities – Novagen, Seraphina, and Silverflame Re – bringing the total number of MGAs under Pine Walk to 11.
