Conduit Re has announced a series of leadership changes and a new addition to its specialty team.

The company promoted Angus Hampton (pictured above) to head of casualty, expanded Peter Kiernan’s responsibilities as head of property, and hired David Frawley to join the specialty division alongside Marc Bearman, head of specialty.

As the new head of casualty, Hampton will oversee Conduit Re’s global casualty underwriting team. He is tasked with advancing the company’s casualty strategy and ensuring the delivery of reinsurance solutions to clients. Hampton’s promotion follows the departure of Mario Binetti from the company.

Peter Kiernan, who has served as head of property since 2022, will now also be responsible for broker and client management. Kiernan brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having previously worked at AXA XL, Allianz Risk Transfer, and Axis Capital.

David Frawley joins Conduit Re’s specialty team after more than a decade in specialty reinsurance. His previous roles include vice president of specialty reinsurance at Hamilton Re and assistant vice president of aviation at Allied World. Frawley has also held specialty positions at Lancashire and Cathedral Syndicates.

“Angus is a highly regarded and technical global casualty reinsurance specialist and has developed our international casualty offering, while also playing a significant role in building the US portfolio,” said Neil Eckert, chief executive officer of Conduit Re.

Eckert also noted that Kiernan’s expanded role will enhance the company’s relationships with brokers and clients, and welcomed Frawley’s addition to the specialty team.

Eckert was confirmed as permanent CEO of Conduit Re’s parent company, CHL, in May, following a period as interim CEO. The company also appointed William Randolph as chief risk officer in July, bringing two decades of industry experience and a background in enterprise risk management.

The company is also set to undergo further changes in its executive ranks. Nick Pritchard, interim chief underwriting officer (CUO), is expected to leave Conduit Re in February. The company confirmed that it has initiated a search for a permanent CUO and anticipates concluding the process in the near future.
