Conduit Holdings Limited, the parent company of Bermuda-based reinsurance firm Conduit Re, has appointed Stephen Postlewhite (pictured) as chief underwriting officer, effective Jan. 26, 2026.

The company announced that Postlewhite will be responsible for leading Conduit’s underwriting strategy and overseeing portfolio performance across its property, casualty, and specialty segments. His duties will also include managing the group’s outwards reinsurance strategy as part of efforts to enhance underwriting discipline and risk management practices.

Postlewhite brings nearly three decades of experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector, covering underwriting, risk management, and actuarial functions. He joins Conduit from McGill and Partners, where he served as partner and head of capital solutions. Before that, he held the position of managing director and global chief underwriting officer at QBE Re.

His earlier career included more than 15 years at Aspen, where he held several senior leadership roles such as chief executive officer of both the Reinsurance and Insurance divisions, group chief risk officer, and group chief actuary. During his tenure, he was noted for advancing the use of data-driven insights in risk selection, capital allocation, and exposure management.

Conduit chief executive officer Neil Eckert welcomed the appointment, describing Postlewhite’s experience as a key asset to the company’s growth plans.

“We are delighted to welcome Stephen to Conduit,” Eckert said. “His deep technical expertise and proven leadership in strategic underwriting across global reinsurance and insurance markets will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our underwriting capabilities. I look forward to partnering with Stephen as we work to deliver results for our shareholders.”

Postlewhite expressed enthusiasm about joining the firm, noting the company’s strong foundation in disciplined underwriting and collaborative culture.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented underwriting team and build on the strong foundation they have established,” he said. “I look forward to applying my experience and collaborating with the executive team to successfully deliver the underwriting strategy in the years ahead.”

The company noted that the appointment remains subject to approval from Bermuda’s immigration authorities.
