Acrisure Re has named Isabella Costa Ximenez (pictured above) as executive director and head of reinsurance for Acrisure Brasil Corretora de Resseguros LTDA, effective Oct. 8.

The appointment represents Acrisure Re’s initial investment in Latin America and aligns with the official launch of the Acrisure brand in Brazil, part of the company’s broader international expansion strategy.

In her new position, Ximenez will report to Thomaz Menezes, CEO of Acrisure Brasil. She will oversee the establishment of Acrisure Re’s local operations, direct the facultative reinsurance strategy, and collaborate with retail property and casualty business leaders throughout the region. Ximenez will also join the executive committee of Acrisure Brasil.

The company said that Acrisure Re Brasil will coordinate closely with Acrisure Re’s international team to support the ongoing development of its global reinsurance business.

Ximenez has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Acrisure Re, she was placement director at Lockton. Her previous roles include P&C director at JLT Re and facultative underwriter at Odyssey Reinsurance.

“Isabella’s experience and leadership will be instrumental as we establish Acrisure Re Brasil and expand our facultative reinsurance offering across Latin America,” Menezes said. “This appointment reflects our long-term commitment to the region and our confidence in Isabella’s ability to build a strong foundation for growth.”

In addition to its expansion in Brazil, Acrisure Re’s London-based wholesale division recently formed a strategic partnership with Israel’s Madanes, the largest re/insurance broker in Israel.

This collaboration has enabled Madanes to access the Lloyd’s and broader London insurance markets, facilitating complex placements and opening new opportunities for both firms.

Acrisure Re has also recently expanded its analytics capabilities with the introduction of AcrisureIQ PRO, a portfolio and reinsurance optimization tool. This platform integrates predictive analytics, geospatial visualizations, and real-time catastrophe event insights, aiming to provide clients with actionable intelligence for risk management and portfolio decisions.
