FM has announced a series of leadership changes affecting its Australian and Asia-Pacific client service operations.
The insurer has promoted Mairead Perkins and Ben Wyatt to new leadership roles within the Australian and APAC client service team.
Meanwhile, Brendan Ellis is set to take up a senior position in the UK.
Both Perkins and Wyatt will report to Andrew Stafford, operations senior vice president and operations manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Ellis will transition to a London-based role, overseeing FM’s book in the UK and the Middle East.
Effective from July 1, Perkins has been promoted to vice president, assistant client service manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Perkins joined FM in 2021 and has since worked as a senior underwriter and, more recently, as an account manager.
Her prior experience includes underwriting roles at Chubb Insurance and Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
Wyatt, who joined FM in 2012, has been named vice president, client service manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Wyatt’s career at FM began in loss adjusting, followed by a period as senior general adjuster, and most recently, senior account manager.
He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and is a Chartered Insurance Professional.
Brendan Ellis will depart his current role as assistant client service manager in Australia to become vice president, client service manager for FM’s London operations from Sept. 1.
In this new capacity, Ellis will oversee underwriting activities for the UK and Middle East and will report to Bill Bradshaw, operations senior vice president and operations manager for London.
Ellis has been with FM since 2007, holding several roles in Australia over that period.
Commenting on these appointments, Stafford said the company is pleased to support internal career progression and sees the changes as an opportunity to strengthen its leadership team.
“We extend our congratulations to Brendan in his new role. While FM will certainly miss his leadership, the transition has created an exciting opportunity to promote two outstanding leaders from within our team,” he said. “Ben and Mairead bring fresh leadership, deep expertise, and a strong commitment to our clients, and we are excited to see them further strengthen our business in the region.”
FM also recently announced the appointment of Robin Benoit as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective June 1.
Benoit is responsible for leading the company’s human resources strategy, including talent management, compensation and benefits, HR operations, and internal communications.
Benoit previously held the role of chief people officer at Acrisure, a global provider of insurance and financial services.
Her background also includes senior HR leadership positions at Alternate Solutions Health Network and State Street Corporation, as well as experience running her own consultancy.
Benoit succeeds Deanna Fidler, who will retire at the end of 2025, and she also takes on responsibilities previously managed by Sonserae Toles, who retired in June 2025.
In addition to these leadership changes, FM has expanded its membership credit programme, making US$1 billion in credits available to eligible mutual policyholders, with the timing of credits moved forward compared to previous years.
The company has also announced plans to establish a new Science and Technology Center in Luxembourg by 2027, aimed at supporting innovation and risk management capabilities across the EMEA region.
