Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced two leadership promotions in its Middle East operations as part of its ongoing regional expansion and strategic development.
Aisling Malone has been named deputy senior executive officer and head of customer and broker engagement, while Joe Saab has been appointed vice president, head of executive and professional (E&P) lines. Both executives are based in Dubai.
“These leadership promotions are in line with our ongoing growth and evolution in the region,” said Neeraj Yadvendu, senior executive officer and head of Middle East at BHSI. “Aisling will continue to bring her technical acumen and leadership to our underwriting, with expanded responsibility for third party lines. She also takes the reins of our newly created Customer & Broker Engagement function, focused on further strengthening our relations with ceding companies, producers and customers.”
Malone joined BHSI in 2018 and most recently served as vice president and head of executive and professional lines. She has nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance sector.
Saab also joined the company in 2018 and previously held the role of assistant vice president, executive and professional lines. He brings over a decade of insurance industry experience to his new position.
“Joe has been instrumental in building our E&P practice from the start and will now lead us to the next level of success in the marketplace,” Yadvendu said.
In addition to these leadership moves, BHSI has expanded its global footprint in 2025. In May, the company introduced Executive & Professional Lines in Italy, offering new miscellaneous professional indemnity and securities insurance products. Also, BHSI entered the UK Programs market by appointing Rob Munden as head of programs, UK.
In June, the insurer launched a tailored management liability policy in Australia for life‑science, biotech and pharmaceutical firms.
