The insurance and risk management sector has seen a flurry of senior leadership appointments announced over the last 24hrs, with Arch Insurance, Sicsic Advisory, Willis and Davies all strengthening their teams to drive growth and respond to shifting market demands.
Arch expands casualty team in France
Arch Insurance (EU) dac has named Patrick Richard as head of casualty for France and Virginie du Parc Locmaria as senior casualty underwriter, effective September 15. Based in Paris, the pair will lead the expansion of Arch’s casualty portfolio in France, writing primary, umbrella and excess liability cover for industrial, manufacturing and services clients.
Sicsic Advisory launches board practice
Regulatory consultancy Sicsic Advisory has appointed Sally Dewar as senior adviser to lead a new board practice. Dewar (pictured above, right), a former JP Morgan and UK Financial Services Authority executive, was most recently CEO of A&O Shearman's consulting arm, which she founded in 2018.
Her remit at Sicsic includes advising boards on governance reviews, accountability regimes, succession planning, board training and cultural assessments.
Willis strengthens placement and portfolio solutions
Kapila Rudra takes on the role of head of data strategy for global placement, bringing 15 years of experience at Marsh and Canopius.
Davies invests in claims technology leadership
Davies has appointed John Salt as group chief product officer in a newly created role. Salt will lead the development of the firm's claims technology suite, working with product and engineering teams globally.
Salt joined Davies in 2020 through its acquisition of Keoghs and has played a key role in rolling out AI-driven claims technologies. His appointment builds on the creation of the chief AI officer role last year, as Davies accelerates its Vision 2030 strategy centred on technology investment, operational excellence, geographic expansion and new client solutions.
