You Re has appointed Dan Palardy (pictured above) as chief actuary and treaty underwriter. The move coincides with the establishment of You Re’s US entity and the opening of its New York office.
At You Re, Palardy will lead analytics functions and oversee treaty underwriting for property, casualty, professional liability, and cyber lines. He will also work closely with reinsurance partners, using the company’s technology to support data-informed decision-making.

Founded by Yury Braun, a former vice president at Hannover Re, You Re entered the market as a full-service reinsurance managing general underwriter (MGU) in response to what Braun described as a growing demand for specialized and responsive reinsurance solutions.
Braun’s leadership background includes more than 14 years at Hannover Re, where he helped develop the company’s insurtech and agency portfolio in the US market. His experience in expanding underwriting teams and building agency relationships has shaped You Re’s approach to market entry.
You Re specializes in casualty, non-catastrophe property, professional liability, and cyber lines, aiming to provide capacity for segments that may be underserved by larger players. The firm targets niche US and casualty-driven risks, positioning itself to deliver tailored solutions for market segments that may not be fully addressed by larger reinsurance entities.
