Price Forbes Re has appointed Alexander Ehrlich as senior vice president of life & health reinsurance and Younkyung Cho as vice president, business development actuary. Both executives will report to Isaac Sanday, global head of life & health.
The additions follow the firm's recruitment of Sanday and Sanjay Shah last year as part of its efforts to build out the life & health division. In their new positions, Ehrlich and Cho will work alongside the expanding team to develop the company's capabilities in the bulk purchase annuity and pension risk transfer market.
The firm said the hires are also intended to strengthen its reinsurance advisory services and transaction structuring expertise.
Ehrlich, a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, has more than 20 years of industry experience. He joins from Aviva, where he served as bulk purchase annuity reinsurance and structuring execution lead. His previous roles include positions at Aquila Heywood and PwC.
Cho brings 19 years of experience to the role and most recently worked at Swiss Re, where she spent 11 years. During her tenure there, she held several positions including senior risk actuary, regional partner for EMEA, senior global pricing actuary, and longevity pricing actuary. She previously worked at Groupama and SCOR.
Sanday commented on the appointments, noting the firm's focus on talent acquisition. "We pride ourselves on building an exceptionally talented team, and the addition of Alexander and Younkyung is a testament to that commitment," he said.
He added that the company sees opportunities in the Life & Health broking space and aims to expand this business within the broader Ardonagh Group. "These appointments reflect our strong growth ambitions in this space, and I'm very excited to welcome them to the team," Sanday said.
According to Sanday, both hires will play a role in executing the company's strategy for 2026 and beyond.
The appointments also come as Price Forbes Re continues to bolster its leadership ranks. Earlier this month, the company named Nick Frankland as non-executive chairman effective January 1.
Frankland brings more than 45 years of industry experience, having previously served as reinsurance CEO at Aon and EMEA CEO at Guy Carpenter.
