With more than 25 years in the life and health sector, Niall Mulvey has joined PartnerRe as chief underwriting officer, life & health, bringing experience from senior roles in Ireland, Asia, and Greater China.
He also becomes part of the Bermuda-based reinsurer’s executive leadership team.
Mulvey most recently worked with Hannover Re, where he served as head of life & health Greater China in 2025 and, before that, as principal business lead for L&H Asia.
He had previously spent 14 years at Hannover Re Ireland DAC, holding positions that included head of actuarial function life and health, financial reporting actuary and head of corporate actuarial, and US portfolio actuary.

Mulvey joins Brian Newman, who was also recently appointed in the same business area.
According to his educational record, Mulvey studied Actuarial Mathematics and Financial Studies at University College Dublin from 1997 to 2000.
Mulvey officially assumes his new role at PartnerRe this month.
