Williams began his position in September 2025. His responsibilities include placing reinsurance and retrocessional business into the Bermuda market, managing new business opportunities, and supporting AHJ Miller’s property catastrophe capabilities on the island.

Williams’ professional experience spans more than two decades, covering insurance, reinsurance, catastrophe modeling, and international property catastrophe underwriting. At Hiscox Re & ILS, Williams managed international property catastrophe underwriting and developed expertise in retrocession. At Markel Bermuda, he spent 15 years in the catastrophe practice.
According to Shaun Sinniah, president of AHJ Miller, the appointment aligns with the division’s focus on recruiting experienced talent.
“His underwriting expertise and experience managing and developing teams will further strengthen our offering in the Bermuda market while also complementing the continued buildout of our global reinsurance proposition,” said Sinniah. “We’re delighted to welcome Marlon to the AHJ Miller team.”
Miller, which has operated for more than 120 years, is headquartered in London with operations across multiple markets, including Bermuda and Singapore. The broker positions itself as an international firm with sector-specific expertise.
