Ledger Investing has appointed Ryan Saul, ARe (pictured above), as managing director of reinsurance and capital markets at Ledger Capital Markets, LLC, the broker-dealer subsidiary registered with the SEC and a member of FINRA and SIPC.

Saul brings experience from BMS Re, where he was senior vice president in reinsurance broking, focusing on new client origination.

Prior to his time at BMS Re, Saul spent about a decade in insurance asset management, holding roles at NEAM as a new business development professional and at Conning as director of business development. He also obtained Series 7 and 63 licenses during this period.

Earlier, Saul worked for 10 years at Aon Reinsurance Solutions as vice president, where he was involved in client development, property specialty, and client origination.

Ledger Investing has reported more than US$2 billion in premiums securitized and over US$500 million in capital invested across 170 reinsurance transactions since its first deal in 2019.

The appointment comes as Ledger Investing continues to expand its platform and suite of services for the re/insurance sector. Earlier this year, the company launched an AI-powered search tool for industry data, designed to connect risk to capital and offer an integrated suite of financial products to investors and risk originators.

In addition to Saul’s appointment, Ledger recently added John Kulik as senior reinsurance actuary on its broker team earlier this year. Kulik brings experience from FEMA, where he led the reinsurance program for the National Flood Insurance Program, as well as senior actuarial roles at SCOR Re, Arch Re, and Guy Carpenter.

Ledger has also introduced “Ledger Reports,” a data-driven reporting solution for reinsurers, ILS investors, and fronting carriers. The tool offers automated financial and performance reports, including trust settlements, income statements, and cash flow reports tailored to specific contracts, aiming to modernize reinsurance reporting and provide actionable insights for market participants.
