Everest Group, Ltd. has elevated Jill Beggs to executive vice president and chief executive officer of its reinsurance division, reinforcing the company’s strategic continuity as it operates in a global risk landscape marked by volatility and evolving exposures.
The appointment is effective immediately. Beggs most recently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Everest Reinsurance and previously as head of reinsurance, North America, after rejoining the company in 2021.
She will now oversee Everest’s reinsurance businesses across North America, International, Global Facultative, Global Specialty, and Mt. Logan Re.
“I am honored to lead Everest’s reinsurance division, building on our history of excellence and global market-leading position,” said Beggs. “Our team’s broad capabilities and client-first approach have positioned us well for the future, as we focus on delivering sustained value to our clients, shareholders, and partners.”
Beggs has more than 30 years of experience in risk management. Her prior roles include senior leadership positions at Munich Re, where she was responsible for portfolio management. Her tenure in the industry includes work across various market cycles and the development of client risk strategies.
“Jill’s promotion is a testament to her leadership and the success of our reinsurance business,” said Jim Williamson, president and CEO of Everest. “With Jill’s expertise and collaborative approach, Everest has delivered exceptional risk-adjusted returns and value to clients in an increasingly challenging risk environment. I look forward to working with Jill to drive the business’s next chapter of our strategic growth and innovation.”
