Global risk and reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter has named Jeremy Goodman (pictured above) as chief client and growth officer.
Goodman will be based in New York and will report to Dean Klisura, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter. He will also join the company’s executive committee.
The new position will see Goodman overseeing client engagement strategies and the company’s growth agenda. He will work with regional and specialty teams to deliver Guy Carpenter’s services to clients. Goodman will also act as a senior representative to clients, reinsurers, and industry stakeholders.
Goodman has nearly 40 years of experience in global reinsurance. He joins Guy Carpenter from Aon, where he held senior executive roles in the US, UK, and Asia. Most recently, he served as global growth leader and chief broking officer since May 2024.
“Jeremy has a hard-earned reputation in the global reinsurance community for his deep understanding of client needs, and ability to deliver creative, innovative solutions,” Klisura said.
Klisura added that Goodman’s experience positions him as a leader who will deliver the full value of Marsh McLennan’s capabilities to Guy Carpenter’s clients worldwide.
In a related development, Guy Carpenter recently completed the acquisition of the remaining 51.5% stake in Carpenter Turner, a regional reinsurance broking and advisory firm based in Athens. The deal is expected to strengthen Guy Carpenter’s presence in Greece, Cyprus, the Balkans, and Turkey.
As part of the integration, Alexander Turner, former CEO of Carpenter Turner, has been appointed CEO of Guy Carpenter Greece and will report to Julian Enoizi, CEO of Guy Carpenter Europe.
In addition to Goodman’s appointment, Guy Carpenter also named Cem Altuntas as managing director in the Capital & Advisory team, based in New York. Altuntas will focus on capital raising and M&A advisory services for North American clients.
