Dynamic Reinsurance is reinforcing its facultative reinsurance operations through the appointment of Valoy Chaudary to oversee large and complex property placements and primary layers.

Chaudary has been named head of property large and complex facultative and primary layers. In the role, he is responsible for underwriting complex property risks and structuring large facultative placements.

The company said his background includes technical underwriting experience and exposure to global reinsurance markets.

Chaudary will work with partners in relation to facultative placements and property risk underwriting. The role sits within the company’s facultative operations, which involve structuring coverage for individual risks and large property exposures.

Facultative activity linked to broader underwriting structure

The appointment follows a series of underwriting and leadership hires over the past year tied to property business and regional coverage. In October 2025, Dynamic Reinsurance appointed Miriam Ávila García as chief underwriting officer, bringing experience from Swiss Re where she served as senior property products underwriter.

Earlier in January 2025, the firm named Rana Nasr as business development and underwriting manager for the Middle East and North Africa region. She joined from AIG with experience in property underwriting and client relationship management.

These appointments place additional underwriting roles across property lines and regions, including facultative placements and portfolio oversight.

Leadership changes and market positioning

In August 2025, Dynamic Reinsurance also introduced changes to its leadership structure. Francisco Hernández was appointed global CEO, with oversight of operations across Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa, Spain, and a planned office in London. Eduardo Betancourt was named CEO for Latin America, while Jesus Sanchez took on the role of chief commercial officer, according to earlier announcements.

The company has also added reinsurers to its panel, including Liberty, Austral Re, and AXA XL in 2024, increasing available capacity across product lines and markets. AM Best has noted the firm’s governance framework, underwriting structure, and financial performance, citing profitability and commission arrangements in its assessment.
