After 13 years with Aon, Anthony DiLorenzo has been appointed head of US casualty for its Reinsurance Solutions unit in response to the increasing demand for assistance in managing complex long-tail risks.
DiLorenzo takes over from Amanda Lyons, who transitioned to a global product leadership role in May 2024, where she now oversees strategies across property, casualty, agriculture, credit, and cyber.
In his new role, DiLorenzo will lead teams delivering reinsurance services focused on casualty risks, combining broking expertise with data and analytics to support clients.
Before this promotion, DiLorenzo headed Aon's US excess and umbrella business, managing high-limit liability placements for large accounts.
Nick Nudo will succeed him in that position.
"[DiLorenzo] has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise," said Steve Hofmann, US CEO of Reinsurance Solutions. "As the former leader of our excess liability segment, he successfully oversaw large casualty relationships and delivered exceptional value to clients.”
Recently, Aon announced four additional key appointments within its reinsurance solutions client services function. These include the appointment of a new global head of claims and client services advocacy, a new global head of client experience, a head of client services and advocacy in North America, and an expanded role for the global head of claims strategy and innovation.
Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions segment offers risk transfer, capital advisory, and modeling services to clients in more than 120 countries. The firm’s broader portfolio includes services in risk, health, and wealth sectors.
