Asteron Life has announced the appointment of Scott Jensen as executive manager, claims and customer solutions, following his successful tenure in an acting capacity since January.
Jensen, who was previously team manager life claims, Northern, has been leading the Claims and Customer Solutions teams for the past eight months after stepping into the acting role at the beginning of the year.
Asteron Life CEO Grant Willis expressed his satisfaction with the appointment, highlighting the company’s internal talent development capabilities.
“I’m delighted to confirm Scott’s appointment to the role following a very successful period leading the function in an ‘acting’ capacity,” Willis said. “Scott has led the Claims and Customer Solutions teams since January when he took on the acting role, and has been a strong contributor in the Asteron Executive team in that time also."
Willis emphasised the value of promoting from within, noting: “It’s great that we have such strong bench strength, capability, and talent within Asteron Life.”
“I know our advisers and partners value Scott’s empathy, knowledge of our business as well as his depth of claims experience in the industry,” Willis said.
“I am honoured to step into this role and continue to lead a team that is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer outcomes across our claims and service operations teams,” Jensen said.
He highlighted the team’s customer-centric approach, particularly given the sensitive nature of insurance claims.
“Our focus as a team is on the customer and ensuring every interaction is responsive and built on trust. We are often dealing with customers at tough moments in their lives, and being there for them is what we are all about,” he said.
