Western Financial Group has entered a multi-year strategic partnership with the Calgary Stampeders.

Under the agreement, Western Financial Group will be a home and away jersey sponsor and receive on-field and in-arena advertising rights at McMahon Stadium. The agreement also aims to increase brand presence for both organizations within the Canadian Football League and reinforce their community commitments.

Grant Ostir, CEO of Western Financial, said the partnership aligns with the company’s goal of teamwork, trust and providing value to customers and communities.

“As Canada’s insurance broker, Western Financial Group is powered by a team of experts dedicated to protecting what matters most to our customers,” Ostir said.

Jay McNeil, president of the Calgary Stampeders, described the partnership as a connection between two brands with ties to community values and Western Canadian identity.

“We look forward to building something together for our fans and the broader community,” he said.

The partnership follows Western Financial Group’s recent announcement of its 2025 growth strategy. Tonia Berger, marketing consultant at Western Financial Group, said the partnership reflects the shared focus of both organizations on customer service and community involvement.

Berger added that the Western Financial Group brand will have increased visibility on the field, in the stands and on the Stampeders’ jerseys.

Western Financial Group boosts industry partnerships

Earlier this year, Western Financial Group formed partnerships with industry associations to expand its insurance offerings. The company became a preferred provider of business insurance and employee benefits for members of the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM).

The agreement provides CAM members with access to insurance packages tailored for moving companies and storage facilities.

The company has also partnered with the British Columbia Restaurant & Foodservices Association as a preferred provider of business insurance and employee benefits for its members.

The agreement is designed to offer insurance solutions for restaurants and foodservice businesses in British Columbia, addressing business continuity and employee coverage amid rising insurance costs.
