Sedgwick has appointed Sean Hobson as senior vice president of national sales in Canada.
He brings more than 25 years of experience across the insurance, risk, and property restoration sectors.
In previous roles, Hobson has led national sales teams and managed client portfolios. His responsibilities have included account development, revenue and retention planning, and client-specific strategy. He has also worked on national expansion initiatives, RFP processes, and operational planning.
“Sean has time and time again delivered substantial sales wins and driven desirable outcomes in every role he has had throughout his career,” said Gail Oliver, managing director, business development at Sedgwick. “His extensive market experience will be instrumental in driving growth and supporting both our team and clients.”
Hobson has worked across Canadian and US markets. His background includes developing pricing models, overseeing CRM implementation, managing forecasting and account planning, and launching a national mentorship program for sales professionals.

The appointment follows a number of senior leadership changes at Sedgwick in Canada, part of the company’s expansion of its major and complex loss (MCL) division and broader claims management services.
Carl Beaudoin was recently named executive general adjuster, based in Halifax. He has over 20 years of experience in complex claims, including course of construction, environmental, wrap-up liability, and professional liability. His background also includes catastrophe response work in Canada and internationally.
Sedgwick has also named Robert Lepine as regional vice-president for Quebec and Atlantic Canada, and Melanie Mercier as manager in Quebec. Both will support the company’s growth in the region.
Lepine has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, having held leadership roles with insurance carriers and independent adjusting firms. He will be responsible for operations and development in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Mercier has more than 20 years of experience as a claims adjuster and auditor. Her background includes roles focused on training, mentoring, and quality assurance.
