Canada’s insurance sector has continued to navigate an increasingly complex market over the past year, prompting a renewed focus on leadership and strategy among carriers and intermediaries. Against this backdrop, Insurance Business Canada (IBC) has released its Hot List 2025, a roster of 35 insurance leaders selected from hundreds of nominations submitted by industry professionals across the country.

IBC launched its inaugural Hot List in August 2025, inviting brokers, underwriters, executives, and other market participants to nominate leaders who had made a significant impact over the previous 12 months.
After the nomination window closed, it reviewed all submissions and selected 35 individuals whose contributions have helped shape the insurance industry over the past year. The final cohort includes leaders driving market innovation as well as those transforming how insurance is delivered and managed in Canada.
The Hot List 2025 is intended as a snapshot of leadership across the sector at a time of shifting market conditions and evolving customer expectations.
