Liberty Global Transaction Solutions (GTS), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance, has strengthened its Canadian operations with several key appointments as demand for M&A insurance support continues to grow in the market.

Jordan Villiers Kluckow (pictured) has been promoted to head of GTS, Canada, while the Toronto office has added two new team members: senior underwriter Adamo Fucile and analyst Maharshi Bhavsar. Villiers Kluckow will report to Hilary Weiss, head of Americas, Liberty GTS, and Frederick Ling, senior vice president and head of specialty at Liberty Mutual Canada.

In his new role, Villiers Kluckow will oversee GTS’ Canadian portfolio, manage client engagement, lead local growth initiatives and build out the national team in line with GTS’ global strategy. His appointment formalizes his leadership of the business after playing a central role in expanding the unit’s presence and refining product delivery in the Canadian market.

The move supports Liberty GTS’ broader efforts to reinforce its footprint across the Americas with additional underwriting expertise and on-the-ground senior leadership. This comes as M&A transactions increasingly rely on specialised insurance solutions including warranty and indemnity cover, tax liability policies and contingent risk insurance to address deal complexity and evolving buyer and seller needs.

Weiss said Villiers Kluckow’s experience makes him well placed to lead the team, bringing a mix of market knowledge, technical background and deal execution insight. The build-out of the Canadian office expands underwriting capacity and enhances service delivery for clients navigating transactions in a competitive and evolving M&A environment.

Villiers Kluckow joined Liberty GTS in 2021 as a senior underwriter with a focus on tower deals in the Middle East and Africa before relocating to Canada in 2024. Prior to joining Liberty GTS, he worked as an associate at a major M&A law firm.
