Davies, a professional services and technology firm serving the insurance and regulated markets, has appointed Mark DiMaio as head of capital markets.

DiMaio was previously senior advisor and founder at Pelagic Strategic Partners LLC, a firm providing strategic advisory services to fintech, financial services and professional services clients, as well as investors and venture capitalists. He has led advisory businesses across the financial sector and supported a broad range of organizations internationally.

In his new role, DiMaio will lead the division’s global go-to-market strategy, focusing on banking and capital markets across the US, Canada, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. His responsibilities include strengthening relationships in the financial services sector and expanding Davies’ consulting solutions.

DiMaio will be supported by Peter Keaveney, who will play a central role in North America as part of Davies’ financial services strategy. Keaveney will focus on expanding relationships with trust banks while continuing to lead locally in asset and wealth management. He will also work with adjacent divisions to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Pino Vallejo, chief executive officer of consulting and technology at Davies, said DiMaio’s international experience and financial market involvement would support the firm’s global expansion and enhance its client offerings.

DiMaio said Davies has built a reputation for delivering value in regulated markets. He added that his focus will be on strengthening the firm’s presence in capital markets and providing strategies to address client challenges.

In August, Davies named Richard Barke as chief executive officer of its Insurance Solutions division, where he will supervise the division's operations and lead the development of its growth strategy.

The appointment of DiMaio, alongside Barke’s recent promotion, aligns with Davies’ Vision 2030 strategy, which emphasizes leadership development, geographic expansion, and broader market solutions.
