BrokerLink has announced the acquisition of three insurance brokerages in Newfoundland, Ontario, and Alberta as it continues to grow its national footprint.
The company confirmed it completed the purchase of Crosbie Job Insurance in Newfoundland on June 1, followed by Chris Mellow Insurance Brokers Ltd. (CMIB) in Ontario and Leibel Insurance Group in Alberta on July 1.
Crosbie Job Insurance, with a history dating back to the 1860s, serves communities across Newfoundland. The brokerage has operated in smaller locations and maintained local ties through long-standing community engagement, including support for food banks and sports organizations.
Meanwhile, Leibel Insurance Group, founded in 1981, has become one of Alberta’s largest independent brokerages, with operations in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. The firm provides a range of commercial insurance products and industry-focused programs, including group insurance and coverage tailored to the transportation and construction sectors.
In Ontario, BrokerLink adds CMIB, a family-owned brokerage established in 1957. Based in Toronto, CMIB has provided personal and commercial insurance solutions for three generations, emphasizing client relationships and local service.
Commenting on the acquisition, BrokerLink president Joe D’Annunzio said the new additions align with the company’s customer-focused strategy.
“At BrokerLink , we’re here to help people, which means providing exceptional service the way customers want it,” he said. “With a shared commitment to serving customers, every one of the teams joining us brings their local expertise and community connections to our proud Canadian company.”
Employees from all three brokerages will continue in their roles under the BrokerLink brand, providing service in their respective markets.
The latest acquisitions are part of BrokerLink’s broader strategy to grow its presence across Canada by integrating regional brokerages with established customer relationships and local market knowledge.
