Steadfast Group has expanded a pilot programme of regional events, holding six “Regional Days” across Australia in February and March as it moves to engage brokers outside major cities.
The sessions were held in Bendigo, Newcastle, Wollongong, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Toowoomba, following an initial rollout in Victoria in late 2025. The events were open to regionally based members of the broker network.
According to the Steadfast, the programme focused on providing updates on its products and services, along with briefings from its insurer partners. Attendees also received input from the Erato Professional Indemnity programme, including guidance on broker practices and client servicing.
Kasun Jayaratne, general manager, AU network for broker, risk and insurer services at Steadfast Group, said the company is focused on maintaining strong connections and support for regional brokers, which it considers a key part of its operations.
“The camaraderie among our network brokers was evident at the Regional Days. Knowledge was shared openly, and the energy in the room highlighted the passion they have for securing the right insurance and risk solutions for their clients,” Jayaratne said.
The sessions also included discussion of the Erato Professional Indemnity programme, which has been in operation for 21 years.
“We’ve operated the Erato Professional Indemnity program for 21 years, providing our brokers with timely claims management to protect their assets and reputation, while also protecting their clients from uninsured losses,” Jayaratne said.
Steadfast said it intends to continue the Regional Days and expand the programme to additional locations over the next 18 months. The group has more than 400 brokerages across Australasia, with its network placing billions of dollars in gross written premium each year.
