The Fidelis Partnership (TFP), through its specialist managing general agent (MGA) platform Pine Walk Capital Limited, has introduced Arenite Specialty, a newly formed underwriting agency – also known as an MGA – focused on surety and credit risk insurance.
The launch marks an expansion of TFP’s reach into Australia, Asia-Pacific, and Latin American markets – with Arenite set to build teams in these regions while maintaining its headquarters in London.
Leadership team brings regional and sector expertise to Arenite Specialty
Arenite Specialty will be led by chief executive officer Teji Gobran, who brings experience from previous leadership roles at BILD and Volante Global.
The leadership team also includes Jarbas Coimbra, appointed as head of surety, and Stephen Olman, who will serve as head of credit.
Coimbra previously held a director position at Arch Reinsurance Brazil, while Olman was director of reinsurance and structured transactions at Helia.
Pine Walk, established in 2017 and fully owned by TFP, now supports a total of 16 MGAs. The platform provides underwriting, operational, and regulatory support for specialist insurance ventures.
According to company figures, Pine Walk’s gross written premiums (GWP) reached $1.2 billion in 2025, up from $0.9 billion the previous year.
Nigel Lee, chief operating officer at Pine Walk, said the introduction of Arenite marks the 13th MGA to join the platform and fits with Pine Walk’s approach to fostering specialist MGAs that add diversity across both products and regions.
“Surety and structured credit are products that TFP has a deep understanding of, and we’re excited by the opportunity Arenite has to build out a unique offering for Australia, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. Teji, Jarbas, and Stephen are all highly regarded in their markets,” he said.
Gobran remarked that The Fidelis Partnership has built a solid presence in the surety and structured credit sector, earning a reputation for adaptability and innovative approaches.
“Pine Walk is therefore a natural home for Arenite. Collectively, our team has deep knowledge of the Australian, Latin American, and Asia-Pacific markets and we see huge potential for this new offering. We look forward to working with the Pine Walk and TFP teams as we bring Arenite to market,” he said.
