The National Insurance Brokers Association’s 2025 Convention has sold out, marking its highest in-person turnout since the pandemic. The three-day event is expected to draw more than 860 delegates, alongside 100 exhibitors and over 50 speakers.
This year’s program will feature a mix of networking, panel discussions, and short-form presentations at RACV Royal Pines in Queensland. A new addition called the Fringe Stage will bring pop-up talks to the convention floor, offering quick sessions during morning tea and lunch breaks on Oct. 20 and 21.
The Monday line-up includes Oren Jacobi from Insurance Training Australia discussing how to move beyond compliance checklists in broker development, Daniela Kirchlinde of IBCCC examining broker-agent agreements in strata insurance, and Zemble’s Aurora Voss focusing on brokers’ data ownership.
Tuesday will see Insure Connect Services’ Drew Schnehage explore outsourcing and offshoring for the modern insurance workforce, JAVLN’s David Leach on navigating digital transformation, and We Are Savvy’s Caroline Healy sharing insights into using AI in insurance marketing.
The event will also celebrate excellence in broking, with the announcement of the 2025 Broker Award finalists. Finalists for Broker of the Year are Charles Elders, Kate Greaves, Martyn Luck, Debbie Spandonis, and Caleb Richards. Competing for Young Broker of the Year are Derek Turner, Emily Radmall, James Still, Fabio Lucano, and Tom Wheeler.
For Claims Broker of the Year, the finalists are Linh-Nguyen-Prashar of Howden, Campbell Hasler and Wendy Ford of Aon, and Simon Bogli of Marsh. Meanwhile, Community Excellence Member of the Year finalists include John May of Steadfast IRS, Julianne James of Aon, and Kieran Volpe of North Queensland Insurance Brokers.
Delegates can also expect the return of the Wellness Hub, networking sessions, and other social events throughout the convention.
