Moray & Agnew has promoted 25 lawyers across its offices nationwide, with appointments taking effect from July 1. The announcement comes amid ongoing demand across its key practice areas, including insurance, commercial law, and workplace claims.
Six lawyers will step into partner roles, namely Alannah Dewing, Amanda Danti, Emma Petrie, Shaun Jackson, Erin Woodward, and Julie Ngan. They will be joining the firm’s leadership in Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, and Sydney.
Dewing brings broad experience in insurance litigation, with a focus on personal injury, public liability, and life insurance claims. Danti complements this with her work on insurance matters in Western Australia and the ACT, particularly in workers’ compensation cases under Commonwealth legislation.
Petrie, who has been with the firm since before her 2013 admission, continues the insurance focus, advising national insurers on personal injury and professional indemnity matters. Jackson’s practice extends into health law and workplace claims, including class action defence and representation of medical professionals in civil proceedings.
Woodward, based in regional New South Wales, also specialises in personal injury law and brings nearly 20 years of experience in motor accidents, medical negligence, and workers’ compensation. Rounding out the group, Ngan offers expertise in property, corporate, and finance law, leveraging her accounting background to advise on mergers, restructures, and capital raisings.
“These promotions recognise the outstanding talent we have across the firm and our commitment to organic growth. Each of these lawyers has demonstrated excellence in their practice and a strong commitment to our clients and the firm,” said Geoff Connellan, national managing partner at Moray & Agnew.
