Residential strata insurer Flex Insurance unveiled a new logo and color as part of its brand refresh.

The redesigned logo replaces the old stacked layers with fluid curves. It also debuts a bold purple brand color in place of the former orange.

The company said the redesigned logo and updated brand color embody movement, adaptability, and individuality, traits that reflect Flex’s commitment to smart, inclusive, and agile solutions.

“Flex is underpinned by the belief that everyone living in a strata community should have access to the protection they want and can afford, because insurance should never be out of reach for anyone,”  said Frank Scamarcia, general manager at Flex.

“We’re putting our customers in the driver’s seat so they can decide exactly what they do and don’t want coverage for.”

Flex said its brand refresh underscores its commitment to adapting its product design, technology, and underwriting to better serve strata communities, with a focus on flexible cover options and improved availability.

“These changes represent the Flex commitment to delivering insurance that’s tailored by the people and communities we serve,” said Scamarcia.

“We designed Flex to be smart, inclusive and always in motion, delivering modular cover at an affordable price. We now have a new brand identity to reflect that offering and help communicate the opportunity that Flex represents to strata communities that are looking for more choice in their coverage.”

Flex has been active in strata underwriting across Australia for five years. In 2024, it strengthened its offering through a key underwriting binder secured with a Lloyd’s syndicate, boosting capacity and enabling more competitive pricing options.

The binding authority arrangement commenced on 1 September 2024. Under the new structure, Flex policies with sums insured up to $25mn will be underwritten by select Lloyd’s underwriters. Larger policies will remain underwritten by QBE.

In 2024, Flex also recorded strong growth, with new business quote volumes increasing nearly 50% compared to the previous year.
