Canstar reveals winners of 2025 Home and Contents Insurance Award

Canstar has named the top performers in its 2025 Home and Contents Insurance Awards, recognising insurers that delivered the strongest value and customer experience across Australia.

The annual awards are designed to guide Australians through a market where premiums vary widely and policies can be difficult to compare. Using its star ratings system, Canstar evaluates products on both cost and features to highlight those that offer the best overall mix of affordability and protection.

This year’s assessment covered 47 providers, 65 policies and 40 consumer profiles. Insurers that consistently rate well are recognised with Outstanding Value Awards, while the Most Satisfied Customers category is based on direct feedback from policyholders about their claims experience.

AAMI, Allianz, QBE and Westpac dominated the national awards, with QBE and AAMI also securing a wide spread of state and territory honours. Suncorp was recognised for contents insurance, and RAC WA topped the customer satisfaction category for claims.
