Arbor Insurance has been announced as the new major sponsor of ProDynamics Basketball, a youth basketball development organisation operating in the local community.

The insurance company, which operates as a Corporate Authorised Representative of Insurance Advisernet Australia, will support the program’s efforts to develop young athletes through coaching and structured training.

ProDynamics Basketball focuses on skill development, teamwork, and character building for young players, and has established a presence in the local basketball community through its youth development programs.

In a statement, Arbor Insurance said it selected ProDynamics Basketball for its approach to youth development, describing the organisation’s focus as centred on “quality coaching, structured programs, and a genuine commitment to helping kids grow both on and off the court.”

The company said the program’s emphasis on athletic skills alongside personal development aligned with its values. “Their focus on skill development, confidence, teamwork, and character is exactly what youth sport should be about,” the statement said.

Arbor Insurance representatives, who identified themselves as parents and supporters of local basketball, cited personal observations of the program’s impact. “We’ve seen firsthand the positive impact ProDynamics has on players of all ages,” the statement said.

The insurer said the new partnership aligns with its stated commitment to community development. “We believe strong communities are built through opportunities like these,” the statement said. “Partnering with an organisation that shares our values and passion for developing local kids is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Arbor Insurance described ProDynamics Basketball’s coaching approach as supportive, with programs designed to challenge participants while building confidence and resilience.

“Thank you for the warm welcome and for everything you do for our basketball community,” Arbor Insurance noted in its statement. “We’re thrilled to be on this journey with you and can’t wait to see the great things ahead.”

The sponsorship comes as basketball continues to expand in popularity across Australia. Latest data shows the sport ranks as the nation’s second-highest team participation sport, with about 1.3 million Australians playing the game in 2025.
