Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company Ltd has introduced Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah (pictured left) and sports broadcaster Sanjana Ganesan (pictured right) as its latest brand ambassadors.

This initiative is part of the company’s broader campaign to reinforce its identity as a long-term financial partner for customers.

The campaign, aligned under the tagline “Promises Ka Partner,” reflects the firm’s approach to life insurance as a support mechanism through all phases of life.

The selection of the real-life couple is intended to symbolize reliability and shared responsibility – characteristics that the insurer associates with its product offerings and customer service model.

Brand values and representation

The company stated that the values of commitment and consistency seen in Bumrah’s cricket career and Ganesan’s media presence align with the insurer’s principles.

Rishi Mathur (pictured centre), who oversees alternate distribution channels and marketing at Canara HSBC Life, said the brand’s message resonates through the couple’s public and personal conduct.

“At Canara HSBC Life Insurance, we take pride in being a trusted partner in our customers’ financial journey through life’s uncertainties. Our philosophy of being a ‘Promises Ka Partner’ reflects this commitment in how we engage with all our customers. Jasprit and Sanjana embody this ethos in a way that feels both natural and inspiring. Jasprit’s consistency and quiet resilience mirror the trust our customers place in us. Sanjana brings with her a voice of credibility and connection – traits that are foundational to how we communicate as a brand,” he said.

Ambassadors emphasise long-term planning

Commenting on the appointment, Bumrah noted the partnership reflects his and Ganesan’s approach to life and planning.

“I believe that every promise you make – whether on the field or in life – comes with responsibility. Sanjana and I have always believed in planning ahead and supporting each other through every phase. That’s why partnering with Canara HSBC Life Insurance feels like a natural fit. They understand the value of showing up for people, consistently – just like a true partner should,” he said.

Ganesan added that the concept of dependability was central to their decision.

“To me, being a partner means being dependable – not just when it's convenient, but when it truly counts. That’s what drew me to Canara HSBC Life Insurance and their ‘Promises Ka Partner’ philosophy. It reflects the way Jasprit and I live our lives: planning with care, leaning on each other, and preparing for what lies ahead. I’m proud to lend my voice to a message that is so relevant and real in the current context,” she said.

Regional marketing push expected

The insurer plans to launch a series of content-driven and multimedia campaigns leveraging the new partnership, targeting younger and digitally engaged consumers, family buyers, and mass-affluent audiences in the region.

The initiative is positioned to strengthen the company’s brand visibility across digital and traditional media platforms.
