Insurance Business has revealed its Rising Stars - a cohort of 35 young professionals working within the Asia-Pacific insurance sector. The program identifies individuals under 36 years of age who hold positions with direct connections to the general insurance industry and are thriving in their roles.
The nomination process began in July, with Insurance Business gaining recommendations from practitioners throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Eligibility requirements stipulated that candidates must not have exceeded 35 years of age on Oct. 31, 2025, had to maintain employment in a general insurance-related capacity, and had not had prior recognition in the Rising Stars or Young Guns programs.
Participants submitted information detailing their professional positions, accomplishments within the sector, future career aspirations, and their influence on industry development. The evaluation incorporated perspectives from senior colleagues and industry figures. Following an assessment of all candidates, Insurance Business compiled the final roster of Rising Stars.
AXA XL provided sponsorship for the 2025 edition. Catherine Carlyon, country manager for Australia at AXA XL, commented on the initiative’s relevance. “AXA has recently published its Future Risks Report 2025, which highlights the growing complexity of managing risks, making decisions, and tackling challenges in a world marked by rapid technological advances and increasingly interconnected risks. Insurance has a key role to play in supporting resilience against risks, and we need to attract talent to our industry and recognise those who shine. AXA XL is proud to sponsor the 2025 Rising Stars,” Carlyon said.
