Global brokerage giant Aon plc has unveiled an advanced AI-powered supply chain risk consulting solution designed to help organisations anticipate and mitigate hidden vulnerabilities across global operations.

The new offering aims to enhance Aon’s existing supply chain diagnostics by incorporating predictive analytics and data modelling to help businesses manage complex, interconnected risks with greater precision and speed. Aon said the solution analyzes the frequency and severity of supply chain events across more than 80,000 data sources in over 200 countries.

By integrating AI insights, the platform helps organizations identify both primary and secondary risks, including supplier concentration and logistics bottlenecks - factors that can significantly impact operational stability. The approach provides a comprehensive view of supply chain dynamics, enabling better decision-making and stronger resilience against disruptions.

“One of the biggest challenges we see is that many organizations are unaware of the hidden vulnerabilities embedded in their supply chains,” said Richard Waterer, global risk consulting leader for Aon. “Our new capabilities are designed to surface those risks, so our clients can make faster, more informed decisions and build greater resilience across their operations.”

The offering includes the following features:

  • AI-driven risk intelligence: Uses predictive analytics to monitor and forecast potential disruptions, providing early warnings and trend insights.
  • Global supply chain visibility: Maps exposures across more than 200 countries, highlighting supplier dependencies and regional bottlenecks.
  • Comprehensive risk assessment: Evaluates both supplier-specific and enterprise-wide vulnerabilities to inform proactive risk management.
  • Actionable, real-time insights: Delivers prioritized recommendations through Aon’s Supply Chain Diagnostic tool to support rapid decision-making.

“The pace and complexity of supply chain disruptions demand a new approach,” said Joe Galusha, head of risk consulting, North America, at Aon. “By integrating advanced AI analytics with Aon’s deep industry knowledge, we’re not just identifying risks, we’re enabling clients to anticipate disruptions, respond with agility and maintain continuity even in the face of rapid change.”
