AIA Hong Kong has emerged as the market leader in the city’s long-term insurance sector for the first quarter of 2025, according to provisional statistics released by the Insurance Authority. The insurer secured the No. 1 position in the most categories across 11 key performance metrics.
AIA Hong Kong led the market in five significant areas: Number of Inforce Policies, Number of New Business Policies, New Office Premiums from Agency Channel, Annualised New Premiums from Agency Channel, and Number of New Business Policies from Agency Channel.
“The continued achievements would not have been possible without our team’s daily commitment to putting our customers first,” said Alger Fung (pictured), chief executive officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau. “We are also deeply grateful to our customers for their long-standing trust and support.”
Fung highlighted the company’s achievements in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) rankings, noting that AIA Hong Kong ranked No. 1 locally in MDRT, Court of the Table (COT), and Top of the Table (TOT) categories. Globally, it secured top honors in four rankings, including overall MDRT and TOT standings.
The company credited its Premier Agency strategy and the professionalism of its financial planners for the results, alongside a suite of offerings that span health, wealth, and Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) solutions for individuals and businesses.
AIA also emphasized the success of its AIA+ mobile app, which continues to gain traction with millions of downloads and top ratings among Hong Kong insurers. The company said the app has helped build deeper customer engagement and trust.
Beyond business performance, AIA reaffirmed its commitment to community health through programs such as AIA Vitality and the AIA Healthiest Schools Programme. In response to rising medical inflation, the company hosted the first Healthcare Financing Summit, inviting sector-wide stakeholders to address healthcare affordability and sustainability.
AIA Hong Kong has also expanded its public engagement through cultural initiatives, including the sponsorship of the TVB drama “A Better Life” and upcoming participation in the Hong Kong Football Festival 2025. It is also the title sponsor of G.E.M.’s I AM GLORIA concert tour in Hong Kong.
